Abstract
Plant layout (PD) continues to be a problem of wide coverage in the scientific literature related to operations management, probably because of its importance as one of the most important design decisions within the operations strategy of an organization. In this context, this paper presents preliminary results of the analysis of the state of the art of PD, taking as a basis 187 articles published in scientific journals indexed in the Web of Science during the period from 1990 to April 2019. Such results materialize in the identification of current trends, allowing the formulation of guidelines for future research.
