Physicochemical Analysis of Liquid Fuels Obtained in the Pyrolysis Process of Vulcanized Rubber Doi

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

In the analysis of the pyrolytic fuel (liquid fuels obtained from the pyrolysis process of used tire waste), the physicochemical characteristics correspond to gasoline, kerosene and diesel fractions, to determine the environmental sustainability of its use, combustion tests were carried out in a diesel test engine (800 and 2500 rpm) to establish a comparison with a commercial Ecuadorian diesel. The results obtained prove, based on the analysis of emissions and combustion failures, that this fuel cannot be a direct replacement for diesel.
