Abstract

Before starting with the story Wao it is important to be clear some of the terms to refer to blood relatives and nes. Waorani means truly human; Warani It means humans, but they are not blood relatives, Therefore, they are potential enemies, while those who are not Waorani are called Cowudi, which means cannibal and is also used to designate outsiders, who are not Waorani (truly human). As will be seen later, these terms Wao are loaded with meanings related to the perception of human and non-human beings.
