Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic led to the closure of schools, as a physical space and the consequent transfer to the house, to the “confinement”. This time-space modification is causing profound changes which cannot be dimensioned yet. Also, it contributed to the media technological changes become regulators of life, relationships, communication, time, leisure, work, etc. These changes that we are living, if we analyze it from the curricular point of view, they are helping to consolidate other types of subjects, identities and subjectivities that place self-management, an important aspect of the model from the performances, and that it had been working since the beginning of this century, as the mark of education of the present and immediate future. In this article I seek to answer the following question: How, in times of pandemic, the model from the performances, through competitions, determines that self-management, centered on self-controlled subjects, self-regulated, flexible is a must to take care of oneself and of the others, thus consolidating a model of society based on control? To answer, I divide into three parts: in the first, I briefly explain on the curricular organization models. In the second I perform a brief overview of the latest curricular reforms to explain the characteristics of the model from the performance, emphasizing the issue of entrepreneurship and management. In the third, from different speeches that place the need to take care of yourself, take care of the other, manage or undertake it becomes evident that self-control and self-management are crucial in a 80 IV Salesian Education Congress. Youth challenges for a social transformation world in “pandemic mode” that opens the doors to new forms of production, communication, employment. This part also analyzes the transformation of a society based on disciplining (Foucault, 1991), to a control one (Deleuze, 1996).
