Abstract

Catholic institutions of higher education are called upon, in each academic period, to offer young people a quality undergraduate program that combines current advances in science and technology with humanistic formation that includes religion as a key aspect, and that makes a difference in the professional practice of future graduates within society. This article aims to explore, from the experience of young university students, how they are living religiosity, what characteristics are present, how they understand it and how they end up managing their practices. For this purpose, an exploratory, descriptive research is proposed with a convenience sample of 181 students, who respond to an 18-item survey managed from Google forms, prior to obtaining their consent. Among its main results, which constitute inputs for the guiding action of the teaching staff, the belief in God stands out, to whom they attribute an important role in their lives; through a relationship on their own, without the intermediation of the church or assuming practices linked to the link with the Christian religion.
