Abstract
The following reflection deals with the sudden change of the educational modality in Ecuador in the year 2020 due to the mandatory isolation of the population caused by the pandemic of COVID-19, a disease that has altered the global dynamics. In the country, the national quarantine began on March 11 with 19 confirmed cases, the Ministry of Health declared a State of Health Emergency and proposed preventive actions to avoid contagion (Ministry of Health, 2020). The following day, the Ministry of Education announced the suspension of classes at all levels as of March 13 in order to protect the health of the educational community (Ministry of Education, 2020). Currently, with the constant growth of contagions, face-to-face education at all educational levels has become an “experiment” of virtual education or, to put it in a better way, an educational experience.
