Pensamiento Positivista Venezolano ante la Condición Humana: Laureano Vallenilla Lanz y César Zumeta

Latin American philosophical thought not only assimilated the various European theoretical currents that reached the region, but also critically recreated them, fostering authentic philosophizing. This book explores how positivism, driven by the pre-monopolistic capitalism of the 19th century, significantly contributed to technological and industrial progress in Latin America, playing a fundamental role in the modernization of countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Venezuela. Through the analysis of thinkers like Laureano Vallenilla Lanz and César Zumeta, it shows how positivism, while serving as a justification for authoritarian regimes, also provided a renewing and humanistic perspective to Venezuelan culture.
