Abstract
Chapter three: Participatory action research approach as an element of inclusive and emancipatory intervention in education, by Robert Fernando Bolaños Vivas, considers that the participatory action research perspective constitutes a proposal that attempts to renew the conventional way in which educational research has been conceived and practiced. The author maintains that this research approach implies a high degree of involvement and participation of the primary agents of the research projects, of the target and beneficiary communities. In addition, the document states that "research processes can lead to the solution of the multiple problems that affect educational communities only if high levels of protagonism and involvement of all the agents are generated in each of the stages of the research work". Inclusive and participatory research can respond to the real needs and problems of educational communities and can become the beginning of processes of integral development and emancipation of Latin America.
