Abstract

This book is the result of three years of collaboration between seven universities within the framework of the international EPSULA project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. The initiative brought together researchers from the Czech Republic, Spain, Finland, El Salvador, and Ecuador with representatives of Indigenous communities in El Salvador and Ecuador. Thanks to this collaboration, the researchers were able to work with Indigenous communities to map, assess, and preserve the languages and cultural heritage of their peoples. Aimed at educators, researchers, and anyone interested in Indigenous culture, innovative education, and intercultural dialogue, this book is a way of expressing gratitude to the participating communities. The results are authentic and deeply rooted in the Indigenous communities, contributing to the preservation of collective memory, strengthening a sense of belonging, and promoting lifelong learning. This process also resulted in a digital portal that brings together videos, teaching materials, and methodological guides designed for use in educational, community, and academic contexts.
