Abstract

This article proposes to develop an analysis and reflection in relation to the indigenous uprising that occurred in Ecuador in October 2019, from the approach of political psychology with Latin American roots. That is, a political psychology oriented towards social change, from/with the struggles and social movements present in our region, understood from their political-epistemic dimensions. For these purposes, I will begin with a theoretical-conceptual framework on the context of the civilizational crisis, post-development and political psychology; after which I will delve into the indigenous uprising of October 2019, in an attempt to situate it within the framework of the regional debate on the struggles against capitalism and the search for alternatives to development.
