Abstract

The mandatory confinement due to the pandemic and its consequencessocioeconomic conditions increased the victims' exposure to peoplewith abusive behavior. Indeed, according to 2021 data, each11 minutes a girl or woman is murdered by a member of her family(UN Women, 2022). Furthermore, one in four women admits to havinghad family conflicts during the pandemic, which explains 73% and51% of cases of domestic and sexual violence, respectively. WithoutHowever, the data provided does not reflect the real situation, since theControl agencies have only 47% of the data availableto identify domestic violence (UN Women, 2022).Legal abortion in cases of pregnancy resulting from rapeIt is scheduled in Ecuador from April 28, 2021, after the rulinggiven by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador (CCE) through the ruling34-19-IN/21 and accumulated, in which the CCE analyzed the constitutional aspectscontained in art. 150 numeral 2 of the Comprehensive Organic CodeCriminal (COIP). Despite this, access to the acquired right is still restrictedWhen several barriers are found that limit women's access tohealth services related to the procedure.
