Abstract
MUJERES DE LA COMUNICACIÓN ECUADOR is part of a Latin American and Caribbean collection that highlights the trajectory and contributions of women in the field of Communication, promoted by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Foundation (FES Communication). The Ecuador edition compiles a total of 33 authors, highlighting the trajectory of 23 women and 9 experiences of communication collectives in Ecuador. This is the first book of the project that compiles not only the stories and contributions of women, but also the trajectories of communication experiences/processes/collectives - led by women, delving into the plurality of ways in which the knowledge of the field has been configured from the collective processes. It is a book that navigates the diversity of shores on which Ecuadorian women move, the diversity of narratives and spaces for dialogue and also the permanent decision to continue strengthening one's own voice. The three axes of the book are an exercise in epistemic justice, as well as a light on the future of communication in Ecuador and in the region. The Women of Communication project has been growing unstoppably for five years, adding contributions, formats and women. So far, the following editions have been published:Mujeres de la Comunicación Latinoamérica (2021)Mujeres de la Comunicación Latinoamérica y el Caribe (2023)Mujeres de la Comunicación México (2022)Mujeres de la Comunicación Argentina (2022)Mujeres de la Comunicación Bolivia (2022)Mujeres de la Comunicación Ecuador (2025)Mujeres de la Comunicación Chile (2024)Mujeres de la Comunicación Brasil (2025).
