Abstract

«Mujer Magia, transformando el dolor en arte» is a project that has two aims: the first one is to be a training and creation platform for various artistic expressions of women who have experienced gender-based violence, the second one is to be an IAPF-type investigation regarding the use of art and creative processes as a methodology for emotional healing. This process has been done in three editions, with 12, 11, and 30 survivors of violence, respectively. We hold virtual meetings because the first experience occurred in 2020 when social confinement was mandatory due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, we use the creation of narrative productions based on the personal experience of each participant as well as the creation of artistic projects such as video art, testimonial video, painting, literature, photography, video dance, illustration, comedy, and music. In this article, we reflect on the scope and potential of the process. Its results are collected on the web at.
