Abstract

This work involves the implementation of a humidity and temperature control system within a microclimate inside a scale model of a greenhouse. This is achieved using control techniques based on fuzzy set systems, from which control rules are inferred to regulate the climatic conditions inside the greenhouse. The fundamental objective is to evaluate a centralized cloud-based control system, with a considerably low investment cost, so that it can become a tool accessible to small and medium-sized farmers. This will encourage the use of modern cultivation techniques to protect their investment and thus make their practices more profitable in a sustainable manner, in accordance with the Good Living Plan promoted by the National Government of Ecuador. The reliability of this control system is demonstrated through data tracking tools, verifying that the information arrives complete and on time via an internet connection, ensuring that its performance is virtually identical to that of an application installed on-site.
