Abstract

The transformer is the fundamental component of any electrical distribution system. Through this mechanism, electrical distribution is generated that feeds the electrical lines of homes in urban and rural centers. The problem of aging transformers in installations worldwide and in the interest of industries and companies that want to know how long the life of the transformer is. Several types of research present several methods to be able to predict how long the life of transformers will be in operation. The contribution of this work is the implementation of a model based on the Arrhenius-Dankin Law, which focuses on the temperature of the transformer oil and the loads connected to the distribution as the main variable. Using test data in real transformers, data history is obtained to perform the simulations with the model by means of software. As a result, the model is validated and a quick reference table is also provided for researchers and transformer design engineers.
