The purpose of the research is to evaluate the behaviour of a material when subjected to plastic deformation. The process consisted of an analytical phase carried out by means of previous formulations and an integration process in order to determine the development in plane of a conformed piece. For this purpose, the efforts generated and changes of section during the stuffing process were established. In the experimental part, the mechanical characteristics of the material, ASTM A1200 aluminum, were determined by means of the standardized test, the yield point was 214 MPa. The forming process was carried out in a 5 t press with pneumatic device, several tests with different depths were carried out in order to compare the analytical results and the respective test; to determine the variation between the simulation and the physical model, of which the maximum error was 3.67 % at 15 mm depth and the minimum of 0.24 % with the total depth. With respect to the efforts generated during forming, the maximum and minimum errors were 10.9 % and 2.18 %, respectively.
