Abstract
In the same line Media and protest, the October 2019 uprising in Ecuador delves into the historical participation of the Ecuadorian indigenous movement, its performance in the past protest, the representation that local and digital media created to (de)legitimize the social protest and, therefore, the indigenous movement and its claims. The interpretative analysis is theoretically based on concepts such as communicated citizenship, Agenda Setting, social protest and interculturality.
