Abstract
The philosopher, writer, professor and scientist Marshall McLuhan (1911-1980) is one of the most emblematic and controversial figures and scholars of co-communication of the 20th century, who was able to predict phenomena such as the interconnection of human beings through the media in a "global village", anticipating phenomena such as the emergence of the World Wide Web. Converted to Catholicism in 1937, he did his doctorate in literature during World War II. With theories and books he spread and made famous his ideas about the end of the age of print and the beginning of a new age based on technological media such as television and the first electronic communication systems.
