Abstract

In the field of Ecuadorian foreign trade, for imports of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, following international trends, quality regulations were created at the level of different merchandise. These standards require compliance with the delivery of documents such as product quality certification, laboratory analysis, tests, samples and others; that are exclusively issued by the control entity authorized by the government. It is important to know which was the impact on the time of adoption of these guidelines in the marketing market? Then the research objective is to analyze the incidence and impact of quality certificates on imports from Ecuador applicable to classified toys within consumer goods. The methodology is qualitative, with application of interviews to experts in the area. The results focused on the importance of regulations, certificates and the participation of relevant control entities in fair trade and the reduction of foreign currency outflow from imports.
