Abstract

The study explores the strengthening of collaborative skills among students of Education at the Salesian Polytechnic University, Guayaquil Campus. It analyzes the influence of virtual learning environments (VLE) on the progress of these skills, vital in contemporary work contexts. The research emphasizes the importance of incorporating cooperative and technological methodologies in the training of future teachers. Using a mixed method that integrates literature review, surveys, and interviews, the study investigates the perceptions of students and educators about the role of VLEs. The findings reveal favorable attitudes towards these environments, with special emphasis on applications like Moodle and Google Workspace to enhance cooperation. It is concluded that VLEs facilitate the development of collaborative skills, although further research is suggested on various pedagogical strategies and the application of diverse technological tools in future studies.
