Abstract

The Technology in Information and Communication have allowed the exploration of new techniques in teaching, the development of computerized tools that improve the user learning experiences. Hearing-impaired people communicate using sign language, this tool represents the letters of the alphabet in a gestural way, which is the basis of their communication. In Ecuador, there is a deficit of teachers in schools for deaf people; for this reason, we propose a computer program to teach ecuadorian sign language using a gesture sensor as an input device and output on a monitor, allowing students to improve their learning experience.
