Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

Abstract

Currently, society needs to develop and strengthen communication skills and abilities through education, as these are and will continue to be essential, given that individuals are constantly communicating. Higher education is the ideal space to develop and strengthen these capacities and skills through the ongoing interaction between teachers and students, as well as through the deepening and awareness of teaching and learning experiences. The aim of these experiences is to guide individuals toward reflection, dialogue, and commitment from a critical and proactive perspective that fosters respect, active listening, inclusion, acceptance, and appreciation of diversity. Updating, reconstructing, and reflecting on this topic will allow us to revalue communication skills as a formative resource that recovers valuable practices that build knowledge and cultivate individuals who forge sensitive, just, and supportive societies.
