Abstract

In Ecuador, indigenous nationalities have been subjected to racial discrimination since the time of Spanish colonization; this article examines discrimination against workers who come from an indigenous nationality. The research methodology used is that of data collection and analysis. At present, indigenous nationalities are discriminated against in various labor sectors and the industrial sector is not a meaning, because there are abuses by employers such as: the obligation to wear short hair, due to safety standards that are implemented in each company, despite the fact that the worker belongs to an Andean nationality, the festivities of peoples and nationalities such as Inti-Raymi are not recognized because they are not on a national holiday calendar, the relaying of activities below the abilities of the employee. For all these reasons it is necessary to carry out an analysis of the current situation and propose solutions to help overcome this problem.
