Abstract

This work presents relevant aspects of the life of the Holy Family, the same that has been described by Vatican II, and which has been a constant concern for the Magisterium of the church, the “ecclesia doméstica” or Church of the Home, which has been called to safeguard the Christian tradition (Vega and Porra, 2014). Furthermore, it analyzes the context of the essence of the Holy Family, and establishes it as an example to be followed for every Christian family, which was later ratified by John Paul II. These conciliar archives have been a source of inspiration for theological reflections regarding the family. The church celebrates a feast in the name of the Holy Family of Mary, Joseph and Jesus to commemorate its significance.
