Abstract
According to Julia Kristeva, creator of the term "intertextuality" in 1967, every text emerges as a mosaic of quotations. This indicates a relationship of reciprocity and dependence between different texts/authors, so that several texts serve as a basis for a new one and so on. Since then, numerous studies and applications of intertextuality have been carried out, especially in the literary field. Systematic applications of the method of intertextual analysis to philosophical texts are unknown. This paper gives a brief theoretical exposition of intertextual analysis and then applies it to selected texts by Martha Nussbaum, Max Horkheimer and Luitzen Brouwer.
