Abstract

In Ecuador, despite the increase in the access and use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the last 10 years, mainly cellular telephony and Internet, there are still social groups that do not have the necessary visibility to face the technological gap, as is the case of the indigenous population. This paper describes the process of creation and implementation of the Archive of Languages, Cultures and Historical Memories of Ecuador as an initiative of digital inclusion that presents enormous opportunities to reverse the gradual and accelerated process of transformation and disappearance of traditions, knowledge and indigenous languages towards the preservation and revitalization of the linguistic and cultural diversity of these peoples.
