Abstract
The book Contemporary Research from a Multidisciplinary Perspective. Book 9. Social Sciences represents a valuable contribution to the analysis and reflection on current issues addressed from diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives within the social sciences. This work brings together research that demonstrates a strong academic commitment to the generation of relevant, contextualized knowledge aimed at understanding contemporary educational, social, and economic realities. The chapters that make up this volume reflect the richness of the multidisciplinary approach by integrating studies in the fields of education, social issues, and entrepreneurship. The chapter “Learning Styles and English Teaching Strategies in the Eighth Grade of High School” analyzes the relationship between learning styles and English language teaching strategies, highlighting the importance of adapting pedagogical practices to students’ characteristics in order to promote more effective and meaningful learning processes. Likewise, the chapter “Humiliation as Violence in Dating Relationships: A Qualitative Analysis” addresses a highly relevant social issue by shedding light on humiliation as a form of psychological violence that affects romantic relationships, particularly in youth contexts. This study provides key elements for understanding, preventing, and intervening in this type of violence, from a critical and reflective perspective. Finally, the chapter “Entrepreneurship and Innovation from a Multivariable Model: Evidence from Cañar – Ecuador” presents an analysis of entrepreneurship and innovation as drivers of local development, supported by empirical evidence and a multivariable approach that allows for a deeper understanding of the factors influencing entrepreneurial dynamics in the studied context. Taken as a whole, this book establishes itself as a reference work for researchers, educators, students, and professionals interested in the social sciences, offering both theoretical and practical contributions that enrich academic debate and strengthen research with social impact.
