Abstract

In the context of the information society in which we find ourselves immersed, Humanities and Social Sciences are the branches of knowledge that face the greatest challenge of technological adaptation. Whether in its investigative, educational or disseminating aspect. For this reason, efforts such as the one reflected in this work have a double value: on the one hand, they address the inexorable approach to information and communication technologies (ICT) of branches and subjects that start from a comparative delay with respect to Science or Engineering. ; and, on the other, they show that at this crossroads it is not only technology that provides added value, but that it is a true symbiosis. Throughout its three blocks of content (Art, History, Geography and Communication), practical examples are offered on the impact that ICTs have on research, teaching and learning processes, but it is also possible to observe how this form of Conveying the contents supposes an attraction on their interest and an increase in the efficiency of their work. Topics such as painting, design, heritage or the valuation of works of art are addressed in the first block. And they are associated with activities as current as networking, economic valuation or the digitization of goods. Both examples of technological integration and, above all, more efficient ways of tackling traditional and common tasks in the field of Art and Art History are offered. The block dedicated to History introduces such interesting relationships as the virtualization of educational trips, the approach to television series, the critical importance of video games in the new generations and their educational use or the approach to digital funds as an educational resource, among others. proposals. It is a wide range that, without exhausting the scope of the possible, offers ideas and lines of work and research that is interesting to consider in university and pre-university contexts.
