Abstract

This study establishes the relation that human resources management has on the metal mechanic industries of the Province of Guayas in Ecuador in its exports to the Andean Community of Nations. This research is correlational with a quantitative approach. In that sense, the results indicate a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.134 and a p value of 0.664 ˃ at the level of significance of 0.05, which reveals that there is statistical evidence to demonstrate and affirm that human resources management does not favorably affect the diversification of ecuadorian exports to the ACN. Therefore, this leads us to confirm that there is a need to optimize the processes of recruitment and retention of human capital in the ecuadorian metal mechanic industry, in order to penetrate more successfully not only the ACN but also in other international markets.
