Abstract
In summary, there is a need to deepen studies on the youth subject and its relationship with the socio-political matrix of the country. Although there is an incipient interest in contributing critically to the construction of public and social policies, the young university subject has not generated in Ecuador a systematic line of research that relates it to the project of society and the role it plays in the processes of change and criticism of the instituted social order.
