Abstract
The purpose of this article is to present a report on psychosocial research on perceptions of life, using the ethnographic method in two communities in the outskirts of Quito, Ecuador. The first one, in Bulevar 24 de Mayo, where the invisibilization of children and adolescents (NNA) in street situations is observed. And the second, the dining room "María Auxiliadora", located in the commune of Lumbisí, in which psychosocial factors are identified that place it as a space of well-being for the elderly, in the face of their own mourning experiences.
