Abstract

"This line of research focuses on the study and development of Intelligent Systems for solving Big Data and Data Mining problems using Machine Learning techniques. The developed systems are particularly applied to the processing of large volumes of information and the processing of data streams. The investigations corresponding to massive data processing are focused on two topics: the study and development of feature selection techniques and library design that facilitate massive data processing. Regarding feature selection, the focus is on reducing computation times. The optimization can be carried out both in the improvement of the execution in a distributed environment, and in the proposal of new techniques that allow obtaining an optimal subset of attributes. On the other hand, a library is being developed with the aim of facilitating the management of progeny databases in Big Data environments. The objective of this library is to provide a simple API so that any researcher with little programming knowledge can use it in a simple way. Regarding the investigations related to the analysis of data flows, they focus on the construction of models that facilitate the interpretation of the patterns obtained and the subsequent extraction of knowledge. In particular, the emphasis is placed on the resolution of two problems of great interest in different areas: the maintenance of industrial machines based on their operating condition and the analysis of GPS trajectories in order to identify the characteristics of the vehicular flow in a period of time. frieze time.".
