Abstract

© 2018 IEEE. According to the Department of Health Human Services of the USA nearly 7.7% of children age 3 and 17 has had a disorder related to voice, speech, language or swallowing in the past 12 months. This reality is not different from Ecuador where 'Consejo Nacional para la Igualdad de Discapacidades' indicated that a 1.34% of children present language and speech disorders and these occur more in boys than in girls. Based on this, it's important that speech therapy provides treatment for children with difficulties in speech and language and these are developed according to a set of areas, sub-areas, activities, etc. previously defined by experts in area the speech therapy. Consequently, it seeks to generate a set of multimedia resources (images, sounds and videos) for the learning / teaching of language and speech. This repository will have an inference engine based on the knowledge modeled in the ontologies where according to the profile of the child allows to generate the best activities and based on these the necessary resources of multimedia files available on the internet to improve the language and speech of the child's.
