Abstract
The social magisterium of the Church in coherence with the truths of the Gospel, is concerned with finding solutions to the great evils that humanity suffers. Pope Leo XIII (1810-1903), in the encyclical Rerum Novarun (1895), clearly raises the mission that the Church has, of safeguard the rights of workers, while promoting the search of social justice. The encyclical condemned capitalism as a mechanism causing poverty and degradation in the working class, as well as made a strong criticism regarding overappropriation when this era unfair. The equitable distribution of the earth's assets guarantees a just and peaceful way of life within society. Throughout the last century, the social magisterium of the Church, tries to incarnate itself in society, together with her, she seeks solutions to the great challenges that modern society (scientifically and technically developed) raises.
The social teaching arises from the practice.
