Abstract
This research seeks to strengthen the academic foundation of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) applied at the Salesian Polytechnic University as a representative case of pastoral and educational reference. The objective of this study is to analyze the characteristics that unite the Oratorian educational proposal of Don Bosco exposed through “youth groups” to the context of higher education through the Salesian University Association (ASU). For this purpose, a documentary review was applied, based on the notions of Salesian associativity issued by the Dicastery for Youth Ministry, assessing its linkage with three current institutional documents of the Salesian Polytechnic University: Navigation Charter 2019 2023, Salesian Educational Model ups 20 25 and Memoirs of the Academic Reflection Meeting 2022. The potential results show that the epis thematic transition from the Salesian Youth Movement (MJS) to the Salesian University Associationism (ASU) is justified from the need to form structures that respond to contemporary social challenges demanded by digitalization and the interests of the new generations; in addition, an axiomatic synchrony binding at the identity, pedagogical, professional and sociocultural level with young people is evident.
