Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the Ecuadorian economy. The sector analyzed was the information and communication sector, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises. The objective of the study was to analyze, using standardized techniques and tools, the financial situation of SMEs belonging to the information and communication sector of the national economy, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. A quantitative approach was used for the sample of companies in the information and communication sector, compiling financial statements of the various SMEs in the sector under study.
