Abstract
According to information provided by the official website of the Superintendency of Companies of Ecuador, 97.10% of companies that carry out commercial activities are considered SMEs (Superintendency of Companies, 2022). Information is one of the main assets of companies. MIS (Management Information Systems) are a bridge between information and management of a company, therefore, they are considered an important part in a company (Alvarado et al., 2018). ERP systems are the basis of the MIS, since the latter is fed by the modules available in the ERP to provide summarized information, easily appreciated by the managers of a company (Li and Wu, 2021).
