Abstract
Following the events of June 2022 in which Ecuador found itself in a deep social upheaval, higher education institutions played a leading role as mediators and humanitarian aid. The educational institutions of higher education played a preponderant role as mediators and humanitarian aid. Therefore, this research focused on deepening the management work in the university as a reception center, systematizing the components for its efficient development, particularly, making known the work of volunteers, their skills and learning. The results show the need to establish protocols for entering the center, organize stations and particular functions, the development of interpersonal skills such as leadership, mediation, teamwork and communication.
