Abstract
The main objective of the research was to apply heuristic strategies in problem solving through integrative experiences, emphasizing the use of technology and collaborative work. The methodology used was based on a qualitative model with quantitative contributions applied to a group of students of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Zulia, the sample developed an integrative assignment which involved a collaborative work that included physics problems to be developed with pre-established guidelines. For this purpose, the following instruments were used to collect information: the assignment, an instrument to evaluate the student products and a self-evaluation instrument with the students' impressions during the development of the assignment. As a result, it was found that students have difficulty in communicating the mental processes used to solve a problem. In conclusion, it was possible to highlight the importance of planning and executing integrative experiences in the classroom that lead students to reflect on their learning.
