The main objective of the research was to apply heuristic strategies in problem solving through integrative experiences, emphasizing the use of technology and collaborative work. The methodology used was based on a qualitative model with quantitative contributions applied to a group of students from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Zulia, the sample developed an integrative assignment which involved a collaborative work that included physics problems to develop with pre-established guidelines. To this end, the following were used as instruments for collecting information: the assignment, an instrument for evaluating student products and another for self-evaluation with the impressions of the students during the development of the assignment. As a result, it was found that students have difficulty in communicating the mental processes used to solve a problem. In conclusion, it was possible to emphasize the importance of planning and implementing integrative experiences in the classroom that lead students to reflect on their learning.
