Herramienta Digital Automatizada para la Evaluación de Recursos durante la Atención de Trauma en Hospitales

After conducting a thorough analysis based on WHO recommendations and taking into account the criteria of other organizations in relation to trauma care. It was subjected to discussion by SPT experts and finally the difficulties encountered in middle and low income countries for its application were analyzed; all this helped to structure a reduced list of 168 variables divided into four groups, with which a software for hospital evaluation (EvaHos) was structured in English, multiplatform with the strength of centralizing the answers regardless of connectivity, which favors the evaluation and above all the preparation of a report. Methods: Observational, descriptive work. A tool called EvaHos (hospital evaluation) software was built based on 168 variables grouped in four drop-down windows, suggested after a bibliographic analysis and subjected to discussion by experts in the area of trauma, with which a pilot test was carried out in two hospitals that provide trauma care. Conclusions: There is still much to be discussed, especially in middle and low-income countries to define what a hospital should have as essential for trauma management, thinking about reducing morbidity and mortality; when our country still has very rudimentary systems in relation to trauma, without quality control or adequate records to measure the impact of care or policies. But this will be a useful tool for evaluators and for hospitals to carry out evaluations and above all to issue recommendations. Our proposal was to have a list or set of variables that discriminate and determine the reality of a hospital in terms of resources in hospitals that treat trauma patients; and through this the creation of an automated digital tool for the evaluation of resources during trauma care in hospitals, the same that facilitates the evaluation process, as well as the written report of the same.
