La Hermenéutica como Método para Comprender la Colonialidad del Sujeto de Abya Yala

Translated title of the contribution: Hermeneutics as a Method to Understand the Coloniality of the Abya Yala Subject

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

The article shows that the coloniality of being represents the negation and concealment of the subject of Abya Yala, however, this same repressed subject questions the process of coloniality under the criterion of decoloniality of the subject of Abya Yala. In this sense, the article asks: what does the coloniality of being mean in the field of the subject of Abya Yala? The methodology of the text considers the textual interpretation, in the Gadamerian explanation, as the deep meaning of the text read and in a process of two structural moments, that is, descriptive and reflexive. In the first moment, we seek to understand the text in its phenomenal appearance and in the second moment, we try to return critically to the text read, since what interests us is the truth of the text.
