Happiness Management and Social Marketing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. An Itinerary Toward Social Well-being and Digital Innovation (Edition)

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

We are currently experiencing profound changes in how we connect, work, and define well-being. In this time of uncertainty, a concept once confined to advertising slogans and self-help books has powerfully re-emerged at the heart of public and academic debate: happiness. Today, speaking of happiness is not only relevant but necessary. This convic¬tion is the foundation of the present volume. As a professor and researcher in Business Organization, I have long promoted a humanistic perspective in public policy, leadership, and corporate strategy. Over almost three decades, in diverse academic and cultural settings, I have learned that happiness is not a superficial sub-ject. It is political, ethical, and transformative. This book is the result of a collective effort by the University Hap¬piness Network, committed to an integrated vision of well-being. It is essential to understand that managing happiness in the age of artificial intelligence (AI) goes beyond individual or technocratic approaches. Digital transformation is reshaping business, emotions, relationships, and motivations. For this reason, we must embrace a human-centred model of progress. Throughout these pages, readers will encounter themes that reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the book: emotional intelligence, em¬pathy, feedback, creativity, digital communication, and artificial in¬telligence. Other chapters delve into topics such as gender dynamics, generational perspectives, migration, sustainability, volunteering, erotic capital, and even the emotional role of emojis. Despite this variety, a central question remains: how can we build societies in which people truly flourish?.
