Abstract
This article is part of the thesis presented in the doctoral studies of Philosophy at the Pontificia Universidad Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia. We seek with this work to open ways of debate in philosophy in the knowledge and treatment of the human emotional world. We consider fundamental the field of emotions for the construction of a philosophical anthropology that, having scientific elements, allows us a contemporary philosophy that clarifies the knowledge of the human and allows better horizons of understanding of what we are and what we can become. Research and studies of the brain, neuroscience and philosophies of the mind have contributed to the knowledge of emotions such as fear, shame, anger, humiliation, gratitude, resentment, love, kindness, among others. Today we know better the complex brain functions in which emotions flow through various parts of the brain including the cognitive rational, which plays an important role in its structure.
