Abstract

The study focuses on the development of digital skills among teacher education students at theSalesian Polytechnic University of Guayaquil through Microsoft's Flip platform. The main objective is to evaluate these skills and identify areas for improvement. The methodology combines literature review, the authors' experience in utilizing technologies, and a survey conducted with 30 students, employing a five-level Likert scale. The results indicate positive levels of technological competence, digital material design, online communication, and critical thinking among students who utilized Flip. However, areas for improvement were identified, such as digital literacy and management of data privacy. The discussion underscores the importance of these competencies in teacher education and their significance in contemporary education. It is recommended to reinforce digital literacy, address data privacy concerns, and promote online collaboration and continuous learning to equip future educators for the ever-evolving digital landscape.
