Abstract
The issue of transparency in public information has become a bottleneck for public institutions in recent years. Although laws have been passed, those in power lack the political will to take the necessary actions to comply with the regulations. Transparency is the relational condition that allows for the observation of government actions, decisions, and results. It does not function as an auditing factor in itself, but rather as a valuable tool that helps to make visible how collective resources are spent, what resources are offered for citizen participation, and so on. In this context, accountability plays a fundamental role in the actor-forum relationship, with obligations to explain the management practices of political representatives in the handling of public funds. This action certainly carries the possibility of questioning and consequences from the public, as citizens deliberate on whether or not to accept said accountability.
