Abstract
This article develops a management proposal for the Network of Heritage Cultural Centers in the Historic Center of Ibarra, Ecuador. It analyzes the role of heritage as an engine of social cohesion and cultural development, with the purpose of preserving, revitalizing and promoting the historical legacy of the city. The Historic Center of Ibarra faces important challenges in the conservation and management of its cultural heritage. Key issues identified include the deterioration of the cultural infrastructure, the disconnection of the community with these spaces and the absence of comprehensive management strategies. Based on a participatory approach, the proposal seeks to consolidate a sustainable and efficient management model. This proposal integrates a participatory vision, where the community assumes an active role in the enhancement of these spaces, strengthening their link with heritageand reaffirming their local identity. With this proposal, it is expected to consolidate an efficient and sustainable management that guarantees the future of these spaces, promoting a city that recognizes in its heritage an opportunity to grow and projectit self into the future.
