Abstract
In today's world, mental health is a priority, even more so in university residence halls, spaces of great diversity due to the complexity that arises when hosting students in mobility conditions who come from diverse cultures, ways of life, ways of thinking, beliefs, and rituals. This text shares experiences exploring the reality of the Don Bosco Intercultural Residence from individual, group, family, and organizational perspectives, considering mental health as the guiding thread of this process. Through participatory action, the authors highlight unique challenges of this reality, which key stakeholders at the residence experience in their daily lives. They offer reflections on psychological well-being as a transcendental factor for students to successfully complete their academic training. This work uncovers a world of possibilities for building a multicultural education model with a systemic vision, as the reality of the residence hall responds not only to the students who live there but also to the expectations of their families and communities. Multiple dreams converge within the residence hall, requiring it to manage changes and respond to the contingencies of the current framework.
