Abstract
This study analyzes the potential of gamification as a narrative and interactive strategy in digital media, through the case of Murdle: solve the crime, a gamification experience implemented by El Confidencial. Using an interpretative qualitative methodology, three fundamental dimensions are examined: the structural elements of gamification present in the interface, the relationship between game mechanics and user motivation, and the usability criteria that condition the experience. The results show that Murdle applies a playful-narrative architecture based on cognitive challenge, autonomous progression and immediate feedback, which favors both engagement and the construction of informative communities. It is concluded that gamification, when designed with narrative coherence and user-centered approach, can strengthen audience loyalty in digital journalistic contexts.
