Abstract
The GK is an independent media outlet that does in-depth journalism and generates social impact. It works around three fundamental pillars: transparency, gender, and the environment —all with a focus on human rights. Through the use of different written and audiovisual formats, they seek to draw a media agenda that ensures a better future. GK makes its appearance in June 2011, as GKillCity, defined as a countercultural experiment in citizen and alternative digital communication, with the aim of putting on the media agenda issues relegated or considered secondary by traditional media, such as same-sex marriage or decriminalization. of abortion. Being one of the first digital media and the quality of the journalism they carry out, its acceptance was immediate, since during its first year of existence it has approximately 50,000 monthly visits and the number of followers on Facebook and Twitter rises dizzyingly.
