Abstract
This volume hosts the academic memory of the Fourth Edition of the International Congress on Science, Technology and Innovation for Society, CITIS 2017, developed between November 29 and December 1, 2017 and organized by the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) at its headquarters in Guayaquil. The Congress provided a space for the presentation, dissemination and exchange of important national and international research to the university community.
